Introduction​

We rolled out a minor patch for our shipping software, PIYOVI version v25.04.01, on April 2nd, 2025.

1. Role-Based Filter Sharing in Shipment Reports​

We have enhanced the Shipment Reports feature by introducing Role-Based Filter Sharing, enabling more precise control over who can access saved filters. Previously, filters could only be shared globally across all user roles. With this update, users can now share filters with selected roles, improving data security and ensuring that access is tailored to specific user groups.

This enhancement applies to all filter types, including:

  • New filters
  • Previously saved filters

Key Capabilities:​

  • Role-Based Visibility:
    Users can now choose specific roles when saving a filter, allowing finer control over who can view and access shared filters.

  • Backwards Compatibility:
    All existing filters will remain shared globally by default.
    Shipment filter owners can now edit existing filters and restrict their visibility to specific user roles, as needed.

How It Works​

  1. Go to Shipments. Click on Filter Picture1.png .
  2. Click + Add and configure your filter criteria.
  3. Click Save & Run.
  4. In the Save Filter modal:
    • Enter the filter Name and Category.
    • Select the Roles the filter should be shared with.
  5. Click Save.

Only users within the selected roles will now see the shared filter under the selected category.
